a different time,
a different place,
you and I touched
with the sound of the crashing sea,
in a land with no horizon,
covered with a crimson sunset,
waiting for a tomorrow
that would never come,
with a love
that could not die,
as flesh and bones
silently crumbled
into dust,
with no words spoken,
looking into each others
soul,
we both knew
there’d be another time,
another place,
shadows fell,
as darkness descended,
fire and mist
showed the way,
then nothing
but the sound of weeping;
and memories.
